i often make life a little lot more complicated than it needs to be.
i made this sweater.
i like to knowingly make beginner knitter mistakes a few times a year just for kicks.
4 hours before i was slated to give this sweet cardigan to its lovely recipient (my sister in law for her sweet -due to arrive next month- baby girl), i was still trying to finish these sleeves. hastily.
i had already basically ignored my gauge and forged on.
the result is what i like to call big sleeve tiny sleeve.
this is an awesome pattern. i love it. its sweet and feminine and i love the diamond lace, and boy oh boy did i make a mockery of a perfect pattern.
so, yeah, this sweater is getting ripped out. i am gonna use this yarn for the gauge it is supposed to be used at. i am gonna buy some fiber co fingering. i am gonna make this sweater over.and i am gonna find a suitable pattern for this debbie bliss eco yarn.
right after i finish this adorable top, spend long hours outside sweating hiking along the ridge collecting wild raspberries, drinking some perfectly cold beers with cody while the sun goes down and we are still working in the garden, and making jam with too much pamonas pectin.
and oh yeah, buying some new batteries for my camera- notice the substandard pics above- taken with cody's "only for fly fishing" point and shoot.
simplify simplify simplify. and that means buying a gift on occasion.
