last year, I found this old rikkety aluminum lounger at the flea market in Nashville. I love love that flea market.
The cushions that were on it were so ungodly that left them with the guy I bought the chair from, and how much did i pay you ask? Oh, about 5 dollars.
So, I never got around to making it a cushion. Yesterday was one of those days during spring that makes you happy to live in East Tennessee. It was sunny, beautiful, not too hot, not too cold, and full of new blooms.
When I left the house yesterday, I was on a mission to find the perfect fabric and some cushions.
After looking several places, I landed this fabric from JoAnns. (yesterday's trip to JoAnn's was epic. I hit the jackpot.) okay, the background color looks distorted. it is actually white.
The foam at JoAnn's is astronomical if not on extreme sale. Any foam and fabric outlet is much more reasonable and will cut it down to the exact size you need.
I sewed like i was on project runway, and in record time I had this:
Here is my assessment:
- The wheels need a bit of clean up with some rust be gone.
- I need to rid myself of this tired plastic furniture that we found and were using until we found a replacement.
- If said plastic furniture is not replaced, must make pillows with excess fabric.
- Must really get to starting the brick patio, the grass patio is tired and not okay anymore.
