we have a baby with some serious drool.
i had previously made several bibs and then realized i hate bibs.
this one is reversible, win.
i am truly making about 5 more of these, the amount of fabric that pools up right around his chin really provides an adequate reservoir for excess drool and the occasional spit up (here's to hoping for the term occasional....)
it seems that lately i have had an excess of creative projects running and bubbling up in my head.
i am reading the book, this life is in your hands, by melissa coleman. she mentions something that her dad once said, and i am paraphrasing here, "if you don't make a plan, you will just sit around thinking about all of the things you need to do." (sidenote: as an eliot coleman follower, i am devouring this book. sooo good, however it is kinda about the demise of her parents relationship)
this is one of my biggest problems. i like to refer to it as, well, actually it isnt a very tasteful reference, so i will keep it to myself. ummm, nevermind that.
among my many many projects that are going on right now, i downloaded these two projects (levenwick and acadia) as fall starters. if i could get them both done in the month of august, i might just finish my 12 in 12 goal before jan 1, 2012.
sidenote: 2012 is going to be a good year, namely, i will be eligible for a phone upgrade. maybe i will get the iphone 12. i am sure it will be out by then. (we are on 4 right now right????) really? i just want to be able to take photos on the fly. that is all.
also, i am totally into this tutorial. it is next on my list.
i am currently sewing crosby some pants and shorts using the big butt baby pants pattern.
the cloth diapers do take up quite a bit of room in the bootie section of the pants, these are perfection.
and i lastly, but which seems to be taking the top spot on the list for right now, is canning and preserving. the tomatoes are running my life at the moment. puree, paste, pasta sauce, oh my.
happy weekending! eat an ice cream cone or two for goodness sake.
